Most of our shared homes accommodate three to four people. This provides a social and communal aspect that individual housing may not offer.
- How much will rent cost?
Rent for our Shared Housing services is 25% of your Disability Support Pension, which we manage on your behalf. Utilities and other independent living costs usually account for 50% of your Disability Support Pension. Food is also provided and included in the independent living costs covered by your funding. If you have dietary requirements, Ability to Achieve will consider this when finding the right home for you.

Yes, we provide drop-in supports for individuals who are not funded for accommodation. Our services are fully customizable to meet the unique needs of each individual, and we offer a range of support options, including drop-in supports, to ensure that everyone has access to the support they need to live as independently as possible. Mortdale, Panania, Lugarno, and Riverwood. These homes are minutes away from cafes, clubs, supermarkets, the local train station, and community centers. If you enjoy nature, Lambeth Reserve is a five-minute drive away, with a beautiful sandy beach and scenic walking tracks.
- Can you care for children?
Ability to Achieve is registered with the Children's Guardian, allowing us to provide care for children in the foster care system through an Alternative Care Arrangement (ACA). An ACA is an emergency and temporary accommodation option for children who are in or entering out-of-home care and do not have access to a preferred foster, relative/kin, or Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) placement. The commencement of an ACA is subject to strict approval processes and ongoing review by the Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG).
