Ventilator Care: Management and support of patients on mechanical ventilators, including monitoring respiratory parameters, adjusting settings, and weaning protocols.

Cardiac Monitoring: Continuous monitoring of patients with cardiac conditions, including telemetry monitoring, interpretation of ECG rhythms, and intervention in case of emergencies.

Pain Management: Assessment and implementation of pain management strategies, including administration of analgesics, non-pharmacological interventions, and evaluation of their effectiveness.

Palliative and End-of-Life Care: Providing comfort, pain management, emotional support, and symptom control to patients with terminal illnesses and their families.

Dialysis Care: Assisting with hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis procedures, monitoring vital signs, and managing potential complications.

Complex Medication Management: Administering and managing complex medication regimens, including titration of dosages, monitoring for adverse effects, and patient education.

Neurological Care: Monitoring and managing patients with neurological conditions, such as traumatic brain injuries, strokes, or epilepsy, including assessment of neurological status and implementation of specialised care plans.

Diabetes Management: Assisting patients with complex diabetes management, including insulin administration, blood glucose monitoring, and education on lifestyle modifications.

Gastrostomy/Jejunostomy Care: Providing care and maintenance of feeding tubes, including tube insertion, feeding administration, and preventing complications.

Mental Health Nursing: Providing specialised care to patients with mental health disorders, including assessment, crisis intervention, medication management, and therapy support.

Rehabilitation Nursing: Assisting patients with physical disabilities or recovering from surgery, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and facilitating their return to daily activities.

Oncology Nursing: Caring for patients undergoing cancer treatments, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and emotional support.

Geriatric Nursing: Addressing the unique needs of older adults, including management of chronic conditions, falls prevention, cognitive assessment, and end-of-life care. 

Tracheostomy Care: Regular cleaning and maintenance of the tracheostomy tube, including suctioning, cuff inflation/deflation, and monitoring for proper placement. Assisting with the removal of respiratory secretions through suctioning or other techniques to maintain a clear airway. Proper cleaning and dressing changes for the tracheostomy stoma to prevent infection and promote healing.

Ensuring adequate humidification of inspired air prevents airway drying and promotes comfort. Assisting with scheduled or emergency tracheostomy tube changes, including equipment preparation, sterile technique, and monitoring for any complications..

Educating patients, their families, and caregivers on tracheostomy care, emergency procedures, and potential complications to ensure they can provide proper care and respond appropriately.
